01A new or relined denture
Acrylic teeth set in a gum-colored base that sits on the ridge. It is the least expensive route, though it still moves, needs periodic relines and repairs, comes out for cleaning and leaves the bone loss unchecked.

When a denture stops fitting, there are four answers.
Falls Church patients are about 13 minutes from Dr. Esam Nahlah's Tysons Corner office without traffic. As a prosthodontist he makes and replaces dentures, and can anchor them to implants or exchange them for teeth that stay in.
Once the teeth are gone, nothing presses on the jawbone, and bone that carries no load shrinks back. The denture sits on that shrinking ridge, so it loosens, rubs, calls for adhesive and needs relining; over the years the face itself can change shape.

Your scan, the bone it shows and whether you would accept teeth you take out decide which of these suits you.

02The denture snaps onto at least two implants. It no longer slides around, the implants make the bone work again, and you still lift it out to clean it. It gives back roughly 60% of what natural teeth do, for a mid-range cost.
03A zirconia arch fastened to four to eight implants that stays in day and night, often All-on-4 with temporary teeth fitted at the surgery. It restores the most function of the three, and costs the most.
How All-on-4 works
04A cracked or damaged plate counts as an emergency here: call, and the team works to see you the same day.
Emergency dentistry
Without traffic it is about 13 minutes from Falls Church: West Broad Street becomes Leesburg Pike, Route 7, which carries you into Tysons and on to the office on Jones Branch Drive.
A traditional denture has the smallest price tag on day one. Then come relines, repairs and eventually replacements, while the ridge underneath keeps shrinking.
A snap-in denture is pricier at first, but anchoring it to implants ends the movement and gives the bone work to do; an occasional reline may still be needed.
Fixed teeth are the largest outlay at the start and the smallest afterwards: nothing to reline, no adhesive, cleaned like natural teeth. Your figure comes from the consultation, and the office accepts most PPO plans.
Insurance and financingDouble arch means both the upper and the lower teeth were replaced.
