Welcome to Dental Group of Tysons!
What To Expect From Your First Visit
We realize that visiting a dental office isn’t always a priority. We take pride in making your dental visits with us as comfortable and personalized as possible! If you’re visiting because of a dental emergency, we may alter the following process, but in general, you should expect:
Warm Welcome
The moment you step inside our office, we’ll be there to welcome you! Our front office staff loves building close relationships with our patients, and we’re excited to bring you into our dental family.
Meet the Team
You’ll be introduced to the team members who’ll be here to provide you with friendly dental care every time you visit our McLean, VA dental office. It’s perfectly all right if you don’t remember the names of our staff, but we make a point to remember yours!
Office Tour
We’ll show you around our office so you can become familiar with where the exam rooms, restrooms, and exits are. We also do our best to provide attentive care, so you’ll rarely be left alone during your appointment.
Consultation
The next step of your appointment is a personalized consultation with our dentist. This is the ideal time to discuss what you like and dislike about your smile as well as any dental issues you may be experiencing.
Digital X-Rays
An important part of your first visit is x-rays. These provide an in-depth view of your oral structures and the high-resolution images enable our dentist to spot small cracks, cavities, and other problems with your teeth.
Examination
Dr. Nahlah will complete a detailed oral examination of your tissues, gums, bone, and teeth. We’ll check for decay, disease, and infection, and conduct an oral cancer screening.
Hygiene Cleaning
Finally, we’ll perform a dental hygiene cleaning. Your new dental hygienist will remove plaque and tartar buildup from your teeth, carefully floss each tooth, then polish your teeth with a gritty toothpaste that leaves them clean and shiny.
Complimentary Gifts
You’ll always leave our office with a few gift items, such as floss or floss-ups, toothpaste, and a new toothbrush. That way you can enjoy your newly cleaned teeth and maintain a proper oral hygiene routine until your next visit!
